Shark Tank India is being used as a tool for exits by VC's for unsuccessful investments

Have this from a personal connection. Company took money, investor gave advice. Investor advice was accepted turned a healthy profitable company into a loss-making one. Investor was connected to a show judge. Company was sent for an episode, episode aired, so sales grow overnight, he called exit. founder is back to zero, building again from scratch.
Not taking any names, but i wonder what is real and what isnt. the judge involved was the only one i thought was decent of all. and yes he was offered a deal, which never went thru later.
