About Disruptors Capital
Background and context for founders evaluating this investor.
Disruptors Capital is a founder-dedicated, early-stage venture capital fund based across New Delhi and Bengaluru (with a US presence), founded in 2021 by Raj Snehil Juneja. Juneja came to investing from the advisory side — having worked with around 500 startups and run fundraising and M&A transactions at Khetal Advisors — and built Disruptors after observing that strong founders often struggle to raise institutional rounds because of structural gaps and a lack of early guidance. The firm secured SEBI approval in early 2022 to launch a ₹120 crore Category-I Alternative Investment Fund, which invests in technology startups across India, South-East Asia and the US Bay Area. It focuses primarily on seed-stage, high-LTV technology companies at the intersection of cross-sector innovation, led by high-quality founding teams, with named sector emphasis on edtech, fintech, health tech and enterprise technologies. Beyond capital, Disruptors leans on the experience of seasoned operators — including fund partner Krishna Kumar, CEO of Simplilearn — to help portfolio founders refine business models, sharpen product thinking and build go-to-market strategies. Its portfolio of roughly 9–17 companies includes quick-commerce grocery startup Apna Mart, clean-energy marketplace Biofuels Junction, coding-education platform Purple Tutor and Playto Labs. The firm is deliberately founder-first, positioning itself as a hands-on early partner rather than purely a capital provider.
