Indian Startup Ecosystem
$209M Raised — Week of July 18–24Indian startups collectively raised $209 million during the week of July 18–24, with notable contributors including manufacturing and supply chain platform Zetwerk and emerging player Veriqus. The weekly haul underscores sustained investor confidence in India's startup landscape across diverse sectors. This funding activity signals that both early-stage and growth-stage companies continue to attract significant capital despite a cautious global investment climate.
Veefin Solutions
₹35Cr NCD Debt Raise ApprovedBSE SME-listed fintech firm Veefin Solutions has received approval to raise ₹35 crore through Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs), adding a debt layer to its capital structure. The company specializes in supply chain finance solutions, a segment gaining traction as businesses look to optimize working capital across their vendor networks. This raise is expected to strengthen Veefin's balance sheet and support the expansion of its lending and financing technology offerings.
This week's activity reinforces a broader trend — Indian fintech and B2B infrastructure startups are drawing steady interest from both equity and debt investors. With platforms like Zetwerk anchoring large-ticket rounds and focused players like Veefin tapping debt markets strategically, the ecosystem is maturing in how it approaches capital formation. As India's startup funding environment continues to diversify across instruments and industries, the weeks ahead are likely to bring further momentum, particularly in supply chain tech, fintech, and enterprise solutions — sectors that have consistently demonstrated strong fundamentals and scalable business models in 2024.
